Aerorozvědka of the Czech Republic (ARCZ) is a volunteer initiative established to support Ukraine and build the defense capabilities of the Czech Republic. Its mission is to develop, finance, and deliver state-of-the-art drones and other equipment to Ukrainian defenders. We also help new Ukrainian brigades train and equip pilots and their workshops.
Aerorozvědka is not a commercial project; it is a non-profit organization operating on a volunteer basis. It was established as an association and has always been and will continue to be a completely volunteer, non-governmental initiative.
Czech Aerorozvědka closely cooperates directly with Ukrainian units and groups at the front line. Our partners include, for example, the Ukrainian organization Aerorozvidka (known for drone deployment) and units such as Rarog, K2, and many others. Cooperation also takes place with the Ukrainian embassy to ensure smooth transfer of equipment across borders.
Aerorozvedka develops a wide range of equipment, from FPV drones with equipment such as BadaBoom, grenade droppers, LMT, then multipurpose platforms for cargo dropping and FPV drone support such as Klekanice and Polednice, ground kamikaze drones BOXXER and kamikaze drones Titan or reconnaissance aircraft Sojka.
They also develop and deliver standalone electrical components to Ukrainian brigades, such as BadaBoom, various versions of electronics for safe payload detonation, as well as electronics for payload dropping that can be used with other drones.
Support for Aerorozvědka can be provided both financially and non-financially. The simplest way is to contribute a financial donation on this website – all collected funds go towards purchasing components, manufacturing, and transporting drones to the front.
Besides Euros and Czech crowns, you can also support us with Bitcoin - both on-chain and via the Lightning network through our BtcPay server. We will not sell your Bitcoin, but use it to pay contractors and suppliers.
Aerorozvedka foundation was founded in April 2023, but the team began forming immediately after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. A group of Czech and Slovak volunteers, originally gathered around the "I Carry Drones" initiative, decided to respond to the war and set out with a delivery of aid to Ukraine – it was then that the idea of starting to transport drones was born.
All activities of Aerorozvědka are funded by donations and contributions from supporters, or from the personal investments of team members. The production and acquisition of drones are thus financed through charitable collections and donations from the public.
The project is backed by a community of volunteers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The founder is one of them called "Vozím drony" ("I Carry Drones"), who remains anonymous for security reasons. Over two years, dozens of other people – engineers, modelers, and programmers – have gathered around him, forming the Aerorozvědka team and building drones together.
Aerorozvědka supports the defenders of Ukraine by providing them with necessary unmanned systems and equipment directly to the front lines. It develops and supplies high-quality drones (from reconnaissance to attack drones) that are tested in combat conditions, ensuring that modern technology reaches those who need it most. In addition to drones, the organization often facilitates other equipment (such as communication devices or jammers) and provides service or training for units in the field.
Drones play a crucial role in modern warfare. They enable reconnaissance, artillery guidance, and precise strikes without directly endangering soldiers' lives. Aerorozvědka focuses on them because each drone deployed instead of a soldier can save defenders' lives – unmanned machines can operate in dangerous conditions, gather key information, and increase the chances of successful operations. Moreover, the Russian army has massively deployed FPV drones and gained numerical superiority in this area, so it is necessary to help Ukraine overcome this disadvantage.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022, the Czech Aerorozvědka has delivered several thousand unmanned machines to the Ukrainian front. Aerorozvědka has delivered over 10,000 drones to the front (as of early 2024).
Yes, part of Aerorozvědka's assistance includes training drone operators. Team members provide practical training directly at combat positions as well as at training grounds.
The training programs combine theoretical knowledge (e.g., mission planning, drone deployment tactics) with practical exercises in operating various types of UAVs. This enables Ukrainian soldiers to fully utilize the potential of the delivered technology.
Drones from the Czech Aerorozvědka significantly enhance the capabilities of Ukrainian units. They allow for better monitoring of enemy movements, artillery guidance, and precise attacks, thus compensating for the lack of artillery ammunition. By having machines perform dangerous tasks instead of people, they save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and improve their chances in combat. Each drone delivered to the front can mean saved lives, a successfully completed mission, or repelling the enemy.
Czech Aerorozvedka gains valuable know-how directly from combat positions in Ukraine, which could be of great importance for the defense of the Czech Republic.
Through involvement in drone production, it has become evident that there are many experts and enthusiasts in the Czech Republic capable of developing cutting-edge unmanned combat systems.
Thanks to Aerorozvedka, the Czech Republic has unexpectedly gained significant competence in the drone field – know-how is being developed here that may have future applications for our own defense capabilities and technological advancement. At the same time, by participating in aid to Ukraine, Czechs strengthen their image as reliable allies and contribute to ensuring stability and security in Europe.
Yes. In addition to drones, Aerorozvědka provides other equipment according to the needs of front-line units. Deliveries often include items such as spare batteries, antennas, FPV goggles and controllers, jammers, signal amplifiers, and other technologies necessary for drone operation. Volunteers often bring various device prototypes for testing in field conditions (e.g., new types of sensors or accessories) to the front. We also equip workshops for pilots and supply parts for drones from other manufacturers.
This way, units receive comprehensive support for the effective deployment of unmanned systems.
Aerorozvědka develops drones with an emphasis on rapid innovation and adaptation to combat conditions. It uses modern technologies such as 3D printing and modular construction, allowing for quick design adjustments and component replacements according to the current mission needs. Each new model is first tested internally and then tried directly in Ukraine under real conditions to verify its reliability. Thanks to intensive development, they have managed to increase the drone's range from the original 3–4 km to the current ~25 km. Aerorozvědka also consults its ideas with experts (including specialists from the Czech Army) and continuously collects feedback from the front to further improve its unmanned systems.
Aerorozvědka aims to increase the production and delivery of drones to meet the growing demand of Ukrainian units. In the future, it plans to significantly expand its capacities, with the team growing and aiming to increase production to 10,000 drones per month. In addition to quantity, it focuses on quality and new technologies: Aerorozvědka experiments with artificial intelligence for autonomous drone control and better resistance to jamming, and introduces drones equipped with thermal imaging for night operations. The organization is also working on improving logistics (e.g., purchasing a field service vehicle) and plans to continue training Ukrainian operators so that new types of technology can be deployed quickly and effectively.
Although Western countries provide significant financial and military aid to Ukraine and there are various other collections, the situation on the battlefield shows that this equipment is still not enough. Drones are consumables – hundreds to thousands are destroyed on the front every month and need to be constantly replenished.
We would like to emphasize that we are not just ordinary volunteers, but represent a real research and development (R&D) center focused on combat groups and their needs. Our work goes far beyond mere assistance - we actively create and improve technologies that enable more effective defense and increase the chances of success in the field. The situation at the front is challenging and there are many brigades that need our support. Every help counts, and thanks to our specialization, we can bring concrete and significant contributions.
Financial support for Aerorozvedka and the development of our own drones has a direct impact on increasing our defense capabilities. Every donation, every investment in technology allows us to be faster, more precise, and more efficient in protecting our territory and the people who depend on it. That's why your support is not just helping volunteers - it's an investment in the future of defense, security, and freedom.
